Abstract

In the present paper an attempt is made for the writing skill to be developed through the approach of process writing and the employment of a wiki space. The integrated-skills lesson has been designed for the sixth Grade and aims at the enhancement of the 21st century skills, such as, computing skills, collaboration, communication, critical thinking skills and lifelong learning. Therefore, the digital, the visual and the community literacies are basic ingredients of the lesson. Moreover, differentiated and personalised learning is catered for though the employment of various types of intelligences, such as the linguistic, the visual, the interpersonal, the intrapersonal and the kinaesthetic. Consequently, the writing skill goes beyond the traditional text-based approach and is adjusted to the demands of the modern era.
