Abstract

This paper delves into the several Bilingual Education Experiences in South American countries through the teaching of Spanish, English or Portuguese.  An aim of this paper is to present governmental and private initiatives in bilingual education so as to inform other institutions and stakeholders.  After an in-depth research, it was concluded that most countries have been working extensively to promote language diversity in their countries and this takes shape via bilingual education.
