The institution Applied Language Studies House was created in 2016 and aims to provide international students with high standards of Academic English language education and EFL teachers with an overall professional development.  It is composed of a) the ALS House Delta Centre which provides English Language teacher training courses to obtain the Cambridge Delta which is equivalent to MA in ELT/TESOL, b) the ALS House IELC (International English Language Center) that provides students of all ages and levels with Academic English courses (Foundation, Pre-sessional, Pre-Masters, Pre-Doctoral), c) the Research Centre for Applied Languages and Linguistics to undertake research in the fields of Applied Languages and Linguistics and d) the ALS House Publications which deals with the production and publication of books and electronic journals related to the fields of Applied Languages and Linguistics.
